Club Information
The Lawton Area Fun Flyer Society was formed in January 2008 in
order to promote RC flying in the Lawton/Ft. Sill area. The organization
is open to all local area residents. All members of LAFFS must be also
be members in good standing of the
Academy of Model Aeronautics
(AMA)
The purpose of the club will be:

To promote Model airplane building and operation in
the Lawton-Fort Sill and Texoma area.

To promote and foster educational and scientific
advancement, and to encourage the study and discussion of scientific
problems and the dissemination of scientific views and news in model
aeronautics of R/C aircraft.

To provide an organization where members may meet to
advance the hobby of R/C aircraft.
-
To promote community relations by providing a
meaningful activity for military and civilian members and their
families in the Lawton-Fort Sill area.

To provide educational assistance to both Junior and
Senior members of the community interested in model aircraft as a
hobby, or those considering aeronautics as a career.
Dues for LAFFS are paid yearly (due in November) and
are set at the following rates:

Regular Membership - $100/year, which will
entitle them to all privileges of the association except as otherwise
provided herein

Family Membership ( Brothers, sisters, father &
son(s), mother & daughter(s) are examples) - $120/year,
-
Youth Memberships - $50/year. Under 18 years of
age
-
Guest Memberships - $10/month, this charge will
be used for people in transit with AMA insurance and AMA Introductory
Pilot Program for non AMA members.
